No, a 4x8 piece of plywood will not lay down in the Passport with the tailgate shut. The width at the cargo floor between the wheel wells is a tight 46 inches. The distance from the tailgate to the back of the passenger seat, with the passenger seat at its rearmost position is 75 inches. With the passenger seat slid all the way forward, you get 84 inches.

I fit two 4x8 plywood boards in mine. It was very uncomfortable and I would recommend only doing it as a last option.?
