Maintenance Minder "7" is "Replace brake fluid" which should occur at 36 months or less...

My reminder occurred at 2+ years and 50K miles. If you wish to DIY, the brake bleed procedure is the same for other Honda vehicles. These procedures (below) are from a 2009 Accord factory service manual. Recommended fluid is DOT 3. For a flush, a minimum of 2 12oz bottles will be required. I used 2.5 12oz bottles.

How dirty was the old brake fluid? Was it easy to see via the tube between the dirty/old vs the new fluid?

Yes, the old fluid was definitely discolored and noticeably darker than new fluid. Fluid was visible through the clear tubing that I used, but I did not have the best lighting in the garage. I checked the container periodically. I flushed more fluid for the first caliper and subsequent ones were less.

I vacuumed as much of the old fluid in the resorvoir first and refilled with new. The reservoir refill required nearly an entire 12oz bottle. I enlisted assistance from my wife to pump the brakes which I find is the fastest (she looks forward to this task...NOT). Someone had suggested putting a wet towel around the reservoir to catch spillage which is a good idea. I also had a bucket of soapy water and towel to clean my hands before mounting/dismounting each wheels.

I noticed the code 7 today at 25 months, 21,000 miles. This is very early. Gong to ignore that one. I believe this PP was built August or September of 2020. I thought the MM is capable of taking time into account now. Perhaps there is an error in the software?

2 years for a brake fluid flush is reasonable. Brake fluid is more sensitive to time vs mileage because of moisture absorbed with age.
