Where did you hear they are "auto-leveling"?
Auto leveling headlight?
Anyone knows how they're supposed to work? I never saw them move, so I can't confirm if they work at all, or under which conditions they should "auto-level" themselves...

From the specs on Honda's Canadian website and brochures.
On the owner manual, there's a mention of "automatic headlight adjusting system", which reads as follow:
"Your vehicle is equipped with the automatic
headlight adjusting system that automatically adjusts
the vertical angle of the high/low beam headlights."

This feature automatically adjusts for for the 'unleveling' force applied to the rear of the vehicle from additional loading of the vehicle especially if a trailer is in use. (For instance, if one harvested a moose in Manitoba and was hauling it back home to Toronto), Nevertheless, if the Canucks have this and the Yanks don't, I would find this "Very Interesting'.
Note: This is a safety feature to prevent blinding to oncoming traffic and to moderate driver visibility.
Horizontal is side to side. Vertical is up and down. My Mazda has horizontal lights that track with the steering wheel. I believe verticals adjust for the vehicle load.

Ah, Canadian models for the auto-leveling headlight. I had them on a Lexus RX350 and didn't care for them. They were set too low. At night on low beam I didn't feel safe driving on a dark road above 35mph. The dealer said they were set at factory specs and they would night adjust them higher.
With the Lexus I could see them set themselves immedaitely upon starting the engine, by watching the beams against the garage wall. During routine driving, never saw them "moving". I believe the purpose of them is to compensate for a heavy load or passengers in the back.

Today I actually saw the light moving down a little when I started the car. I wasn't towing or having anything heavy in the trunk, so not sure why it did move.

I think it's kind of like a calibration procedure... leveling based in the weight in the car irregardless of whether it changed from the last time you started the car. I wish I had auto leveling headlights. I consistently get flashes from other motorists that my lights are either too bright, angled improperly, or I have my high beams on. It’s distressing because I know what that feels like as an oncoming motorist. No such luck with getting those auto-leveling lights here. I don’t know if the dealership can remedy the situation if not. Any thoughts?
Yep - put a couple 200# adults in the back seat at night and everyone flashes you.
You can adjust the height of the headlights yourself. Pop the hood and look at the metal structure just behind the headlights. There is a hole with markings indicating up or down.

True, I can adjust them manually but I’m not gonna do that every time I have folks in the back seat. I really liked this feature in my last Mazda. This should be a requirement on SUVs and pickups.
Hi. I’m new to this forum, taking delivery of my 2021 Passport Touring at the end of the month. I was watching a YouTube video for the 2021 Passport Touring and the person in the video mentioned that the touring/elite model has auto leveling headlights is that true?
