My initial response when I read of the difference between pre and post-June 2019 manufactured PP's was a mechanical or structural flaw. However, the difference had to do with some of the safety sensing equipment, but nothing mechanically dangerous to us. I'm I interpreting this article correctly?
They include the highbeam assist in a safety rating??? Really??? - I find it amusing but would not rely on it as it blinds many drivers before deciding to switch. Based on this one statement, I find the article or the testing process highly flawed. But that is my $0.02, your mileage may vary.
"As standard, the 2019 Honda Passport includes a forward collision warning system that was rated "superior" by the IIHS."
Yeah, just last night the so called "forward collision warning system" freaked me out because there was an incoming car coming on a winding road. It's like if there was a back seat driver yelling and shaking your steering wheel: Hey! There is an incoming Car!" Very safe.
The only safety tests I'm concerning about are done by crush dummies.
