I don't have any diagrams or anything, but it is quite easy to remove the door panels (such as for sound treatment and speaker install). Clips around the outer edge and a few screws, then disonnect the harnesses and you have visibility into the door insides. You might be able to search a part site for a diagram of the door assembly.

Indeed. 99% of vehicles, the access to remove door handles is through the inside of the doors.

That came out really good... how bad was it getting all the wrinkles out of the curves? Assuming the heat gun was your best friend here!

I made sure to preheat the film. There's yet to be any wrinkles. So far so good! I recommend using 3m 2080 series though. This video helped a ton:
