As part of the preparation, I am thinking adding a hood deflector to my soon-to-purchase passport.
1. Is it really functionally useful, or just make it look more rigid?
2. Should I get a low profile one or a high profile one?
3. Does it make the car look more rigid one color than the other?

Welcome to the forum! There are several posts on hood deflectors that might be useful. Use the “Search Community” box at the top of the page and search on “air deflector”. Good luck with Passport shopping. When you do purchase, post some pics of your new ride.

Thanks! A lot of useful information indeed. Definitely will post pictures when I get it.

I have to say this is one addition I wish I did. The front of my hood is jacked from rocks. Lots of chips. Bummed I did not pull the trigger on one of these or wrapping the hood as all the chips are right above the gloss black trim piece - exactly the same area the hood deflector covers.

Canadian made, above the hood, 9 - 10mm above the hood. Around 130+ delivered to my place, easy peasy to install, I love the look and find it useful for protecting the front end of the hood.

Looks sharp! If you don't mind me asking who makes it and where did you order from?
Thanks
