Anti Theft Decals?

I received a letter in the mail. It states I can register my new Honda Passport for Police Traceable Decals and VPR Tracking. It says they are waving the $399.00 fee if I register on or before the expiration date of 6/18/19. I thought I'd seen this as some kind of dealer add-on while I was shopping for my Passport online. I think many said it's just a sales ploy not worth the money being charged for it. There is a phone number I'd need to call to register. I'm thinking that might be where they'll discuss some type of necessary charge. Thinking to just not call. Or if it's really free(?) maybe I should call to find out what all is involved. Any one else deal with this please reply here. At 458 miles so far, going very nice with my Passport so far. First road trip about 500 miles round trip this weekend. peace, e.

I'd be very cautious about this offer. First, almost $400 is a lot of money to "register" your PP to have these people issue you "Police Traceable Decals". Are there such things? Much more information is needed and a high bar of creditability is recommended.

I got a similar offer in the mail. I threw it in the trash. Seemed too sketchy to me.

Yup, in the trash was my first thought. But when it said, waive the fee, caught my eye. But I'm guessing there will be some big, outrageous sales pitch if I call in. Thought I could try it online register to see all the information. But a call in only, almost gurantees a sales pitch is coming. I wouldn't listen further after that.

No biggee, it goes in the trash. Thanks for y'alls replies here. peace, e.
