Hey all! After a year of researching and debating, I'm finally so close to pulling the trigger on a Modern Steel Touring. So after much back and forth, after a deceptive e price, I got the dealer to come down to $35,600, including freight.

I then find out that the PP has 140 miles on the odometer. I understand 140 miles is not a lot, but I feel like it's enough to not be considered brand new.

Am I being too uptight and unreasonable with not wanting a 'brand new' car with 140 miles on it? Should I try to bring them down a bit because of it?
I know it's on me since I should have done more research on that, but bottom line, I wish it was closer to < 20 miles.

It has to mean it's been sitting there on the lot for a while.

What is everybody's thoughts on this? Not a big deal?

That’s a good deal...I take it this is a FWD?

Suggest they change the oil and filter for you. I also suggest do not buy the extended warranty from them. There are several Honda dealers across the country that will sell the same warranty for a fraction of the cost. Just do a search here on the forum.

Oh yes, I'm actually in Jersey and the dealer is in MD, so no extended for me. Thanks for the heads up!

My 2020 AWD Touring back in Feb before Corona was about 38,xxx so you got a hell of a deal
Good job
Thank you! That's awesome, I'm happy to hear that, I'm definitely excited to join the group. Fingers crossed the deal can stay as is, still anticipating a curve at the 11th hour. But I go in Thursday night, so hopefully I'll be driving home in a PP.
Thanks for the input, this makes me feel better.

Our 2019 Elite bought brand new had 150 miles on it. No big deal and we still got it. Those 150 miles are still covered under warranty any ways. Btw. It was the first Passport our dealer had received at the time on their lot. That is a heck of a deal they are offering you. You don’t know a good deal when you see it. Common man take it and RUN!

The 140 miles are nothing.

A couple of test drives and/or dealer trades can account for that. It's the nature of the business.

My Civic had over 100 miles on it when I bought it because it was originally sold to a dealer 75 miles from where I bought it. (Which is quickly a moot point because I drove over 50 miles to get to the selling dealer anyhow.)

It would get frustrating if you were to hold out for a "5-mile brand new" car.

Yes, you are right. I figured I was being a bit unreasonable and I do know it's a great deal. My first thought was the dealer was lending the car out for reviewers and such and people were 'beating' it.

My first BMW was pre-ordered and came in on a car carrier straight from the docks, so except or a few people at the dealership, it was never test drove by anyone else, which was kinda cool but not a big deal. Since it was made in Germany, it still had about 7 miles on it...
