Allstate VSC extended warranty questions?

First of all I still have time to cancel it and get a refund. The plan selected was 7 years 85k Premier plan with $100 deductible. Price was $2,570. Sales manager said Allstate was excellent and easier to deal with then Honda Care. He said customers have been more pleased with Allstate then Honda Care over the years. How true is that? I have no clue. So lay it on me. Should I stay with it or change? The car is financed. So the refund would go back to the bank financing it. I would have to pay myself up front for Honda Care if I cancel. We have the Passport Elite.

Car payment price would also not change being lower. Since the deal is done even if I cancelled the Allstate VSC.

Just in my research. That price seems very high compared to honda care. Also the 8 year 120,000 mile deductible vs nondeductible is only 100 dollar difference for honda care. In my research other companies that are not honda care have seemed to not been very helpful when claim time came around. One was western and I forget the other. Your price is very high and the coverage is less. I believe honda care can be bought for 1399 or so ball park. I think your plan is over 1,000 more compared to honda care people. Just my opinion. Thanks, Pdog

I do not want to sound negative, but it appears, altho I mite be wrong, the salesperson is giving you what I call the 'either-or pitch' thus making it sound like there is no other option (other than buying some insurance.
Full disclosure: I do not purchase any 'extended warranty' insurance whether it be a microwave, refrigerator, lawnmower or cellphone. But everyone has their own comfort level and needs. I just hate to see people buying things they may not really need. Ask yourself: "Do I really need this".
You may want to see other threads on this subject in this forum if you haven't already done so, i.e. "HONDA CARE"
