Is this the Simoniz coating by the dealer? I get mine tomorrow, still not 100% certain what it is.

I ordered McKees 37 for mine. I haven’t applied yet because every weekend I have been home the weather doesn’t seem to cooperate. I don’t want to chance getting it wet during the 24 hour curing time. Can you outline the steps you took ? I plan to clay, de-iron, prep-polish and then coat.

The Wolfgang link appears to be a polymer sealant —which is good - I used a similar product on my Ridgeline / pilot and works well. The ceramic a different type of protection ( which I haven’t used yet) . From what I can tell, there are 3 primary types - waxes, polymer sealants and now ceramic coating — each last a bit longer and have different chemical properties. I’ll update once I’ve made the plunge with the McKees37 product .. there’s so much stuff out there it’s just hard to know which to use. @stevenD we have the same vehicle touringAWD modern steel grey with black interior and I think the gloss will just make that POP.

Yeah, thanks Don, cool we have the same car, I had some sort of dealer installed sealant on my last car, so I'm open to anything , as long as it is one of the best!

Take a look at this video concerning the Gtechniq line of ceramic sealers. While a bit pricey, the videos i have seen tend to give this line very good grades. The kit is available on Amazon just north of $100.
