Finally got my unit in and hooked up. So far so good and will update in a couple of weeks. It takes about 20 seconds to connect which is about the same as wired.

Question? Can you hook the unit up inside the console using that USB connection or do you have to use the one at the dash? I would like to hide it if possible.

Only the dash USB port is configured to work with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

You can see in this pic how I installed mine using velcro. I also plugged a duel USB into the cigarette light hole for charging phones when needed.
I could have mounted it on the passenger side to make it even cleaner but I wanted to be able to see the wireless units lights incase of issues.
As fx said, it will not work in the consol usb.

Been almost two weeks now and have had ZERO failures connecting. Now i normally get in the pp with phone in pocket and take off. Great product and does what it says it will do.

When was the last time your phone updated? Mine updates once a month. Please lets know if you continue to have trouble free operation of the wireless module after your next phone software update.
