What I can say at this time is there is a very, very slight vibration above 70mph that you can feel in the steering wheel. Not sure if it's the wheels or the tires. I had the wheels balanced a second time and one of the tires remounted. At speeds, say 40mph, it's smooth as silk but freeway speeds you can notice it. Also not sure if it's the 275 width or the fact you cannot adjust the rear alignment - or both. I do not mean to say it's not driveable, it is, but knowing how smooth it feels at 40mph you do notice it's not the same at 70. The service department at the Honda dealership is pretty good so I may have them check things out and possibly even have them balance the wheels. If it smooths it out at highway speeds the extra cost will be worth it. The set-up was purchased, mounted, and installed by my local Discount Tire shop.

Overall though I am REALLY digging the look of this new set-up.

You should rotate the tires and see if the vibration changes. It could just be the front tires .

When the tires and wheels were rebalanced, was it on a "Hunter Road Force Balancer" with the full diagnostics? That would help eliminate problems with either the tire or wheel.

Yes, did this during the second visit. Had them rebalance the fronts and swapped sides. This greatly improved (diminished) the feeling. After a few days I did notice some vibration in the seat so back to have them rebalance the rears. This improved it even more but I may be now hyper-sensitive for the feeling in the steering wheel.

That is what they (Discount Tire) have, not sure about full diagnostics.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

One additional comment is when I went to Honda for the alignment the tech commented on the fact the weights were only on the outside, "we usually split them between the inside and outside." It is due to this comment why I may go to Honda and have them balance the wheels. The alignment was done within days of the install. I had not gone back to Discount Tire to have them rebalance the wheels; i.e., install, alignment, back for the rebalancing...

Been some time since any "build" posts by me so this is only to say I slapped on the roof basket with the new wheels/tires. I have seen a drop in MPG by 1 to 1.5. Oh well.

Almost at 40,000 miles. (y)

It's always pleasant to see this headline worthy car. Where you able to fix the vibration issue?
Thank you. And yes, as miles have been put on the tires the vibration has disappeared. :)

The basket is/was called the Apex Roof Cargo Basket. Seems they do not make it anymore in this design. It was purchased here (and it's not listed anymore): Search Results

My basket is/was similar to the Rocky Mounts 14'er but was over $100 less expensive. 14'er Cargo Basket

Additional information on this basket in an earlier post in this thread: 407guy's "build" -- 2019 Passport Elite...
