I would love if it’s the same interior design as the new Pilot. For my body shape and comfort levels I actually thought the new Pilot had more room for the driver, which is what I care about the most. The value has tanked across the board (seemingly across the board at least) on most vehicles. Heck based on what my Passport is worth and what others are saying, a low mileage used Passport may be the best deal for someone looking to buy used!

36K miles, dang better dump it before something starts to go wrong..! LOL, just joking, I just turned 33k on my 2019 Touring and with all my additions, I'll just be watching from the sidelines... I paid something lie $39k, for mine, and would be lucky to get low $20k's, meaning I'd need to add $30k for a new Black Edition (No Thanks...!)

I do think it will largely mimic the revised Pilot, so if the 2024 Pilot is redesigned, you can at least check out the interior, as Honda will be re-using it for sure!
I’m with you. I have a 2020 Touring and I paid around What you did. I only have 21k on mine. I’d like to retire in about 6 years, so new cars are out. Unless something happens and I need to replace it.

Ha, wait till you see the price of a new redesigned 4Runner fully loaded... (TRD >$60k / you'll be back)
The Toyota 2.4 hybrid on new 4runner with 27mpg in trd off-road package might be too appealing to resist. The price should go down with new Landcruiser on the market, 4runner just cant cost as much as now. Hybrid Toyota Tacoma TRD-Off-Road starts from 42k according to google.

I have fibble hope that Honda fight that, will see in a year.

Kinda funny that they are getting rid of the volume knob again for a bigger screen. Car industry is weird.
If that missing volume knob makes it to production, the automobile press will roast Honda because it looks like a creeping move to cost saving touchscreen controls. VW introduced all touchscreen volume and climate controls in some of it's 2020+ ICE vehicles but the response was so bad across board that the company had to do several image repair campaigns professing the end of the experiment in an attempt to recover back some market share.
Honda also previously tried to slide the touchscreen volume controls into earlier generation Civic, CR-V and Ridgeline but returned the knobs due to negative feedback from owners too.

It's not just Honda but that touch screen sticking way up and out like that just looks so aftermarket and tacked on. It reminds me of the aftermarket stereos way back in the day that mounted under the dash, that or a C.B. radio. 🤢
Agreed! It's definitely the trend nowadays. I'll likely move up to the next gen Passport, but I'll miss the screen on our current PP which in my opinion is nicely integrated into the dash

Will be interesting to see how the 2025 TrailSport trim is priced, with the Toyota Land Cruiser entry level starting around $55k. The LC will be making 326hp/465 lb-ft and have two-speed transfer case, locking diffs, and crawl control.

I think it looks better, trying to get everything into the dash like the current one looks like they skimp on size of the screen just to make it meld into the dash.. eh. I like the separate look of components in the interior vs. a contoured everything curvy etc. 🤮🤢

In regards to the engine, is it going to lose that aggressive sound feel it has now with the current engine when they swap it with the one in the Pilot?
Theyre most likely going to cut and paste the guts from the pilot to the passport. I hope they stay aggressive sounding though, I love a loud aggressive engine, if people want a soft luxury(ish) sound get a pilot. Passports are designed to be sportier and more overland/offroad worthy than a pilot

Agreed! If nothing else I hope that Honda would suprise us and make a clear enough distinction between the Passport and Pilot. If the Passport moves further toward the sporty side... I'm all in. If they give us a next gen PP that's largely a two-row Pilot in terms of appearance and ability... They may lost me.

That screen location is absolutely hideous. What a way to ruin cars - and its everyone doing that. Are we really supposed to be "impressed" by a thick screen sticking out, in year 2024?

That may have been in 2002 during the heighs of the fast & the furious era and aftermarket alpine and pioneer radios.

If it wasn't for the damn frakra issues, I think the 2024 Passport is the better car. iVTEC that sounds and pulls like its on crack, the beautiful ZF-9 (I've driven the new Pilot > 1000 miles, the 10 Speed sucks, quote me on that in a year. And an infotainment in the right place. I wish they would've given the 2024 Passport the infotainment and instrument cluster treatment that they did the ridgeline, which uses the 2024+ pilot technology. Too bad, they left the legacy stuff.

Isn't that what the Passport is now anyway?

I agree that if and when I'm gonna buy another in the probable decade+ if they even still make them if they aren't distinct im not gonna go for it and probably look elsewhere. And yeah Duane that's what we're saying, they need to move further away from the "athletic little bro" look the passport has compared to the pilot

I disagree completely. BUT I agree with your Vtec comment, and eh disappointed in what you said about the 10 speed. More and more, I feel like I will be keeping my 2022 (which isn't a bad thing) but was looking forward to a new interior if anything.
