The 10 speed/ DOHC is of course the shoe in candidate for the Passport. Hopefully they are working on something else. The Proluge was supposed to be the stop gap, but may be delayed, if delayed too long it kinda becomes irrelevant.

I think this is indeed the 2025 Passport. Of course it's going to parallel the Pilot; that's its purpose - a smaller, 2-row Pilot. That's not going to change in the near future. Here was an earlier render of the 2025 Passport...note the same wheels (the wheels are often a giveaway of the spy shot - they're usually matte black versions of the actual wheel). The earlier posted Pilot spy shots showed the production Elite wheel.

The pilot was redesigned for 2023, they wouldn't redesign it again for atleast another 4 years
Unfortunately, the redesign they gave the Pilot in 2023 only marginally improved its looks. Honda has fallen off a cliff in terms of exterior styling. With the exception of the Accord, all of the redesigns have been disappointing to say the least.

I think the only let down in the Pilot is the rear, that egg shape is at odds with the angular, aggressive front. The new Accord looks like the 2020 VW Phaeton.
The 2023 Civic Type R looks drop dead gorgeous.

It would be kind of nice if the Passport ended up being something different, not just a shorter pilot. It would be interesting if they made the new Passport a bit more performance based. Maybe a Cool Dad Mobile vs the Pilot Dad Mobile, a bridge between Honda and Acura!

Making the Passport a Cool Dad Mobile will steal some of the MDX market so it will never happen.

I happen to think the new redesigns look good, but you know what they say about opinions. Thanks for stopping by.

I was thinking because the HR-V is built off the Civic chassis, that either an Si or Type R trim HR-V would be cool.

Off Topic I know.

Thanks for the Pilot overlay, it brought out the body hiding under the covers. I wonder if Honda is going to keep the fake exhaust port on the rear bumper?

The size of the shell of the infotainment display looks the same with the Pilot but this one is curiously missing the volume knob, maybe that's what's giving the impression of more screen real estate. If Honda places the volume knob on the dash like it did with the new Accord then the screen could be bigger within same shell. No indication of a knob on the dashboard right now though.
Does anyone beside me absolutely HATE the big infotainment screens that look like computer monitors that have simply been hung onto the dashboard. I can't imagine how much my love for tech would have to ramp up before I was willing to accept the trade off of those ugly monster screens.

The infotainment screen in the 2023/2024 Pilot is actually considered modest in size because cars have generally evolved towards bigger screens as more functions are being placed in the screens, even the present generation Accord has an infotainment screen that is bigger than the screen in the Pilot.

IMO, I think a 14'' X 10'' screen is reasonable as long as it's well blended into the design of the dashboard instead of appearing like a last minute design decision to hot glue a screen to the dashboard. I also cannot stand the modern drift of moving HVAC controls, transmission shifter and other important daily use functions to the infotainment screen, that is taking thing too far and asking for the type of trouble Ford recently got with the Mustang Mach-E. An over the air update failed for some owners and it left their cars bricked and unusable. Owners woke up and discovered that there Mack-E could not be driven because the infotainment screen locked them out and the only way to rectify was tow the car to the dealer.

...ditto humongous infotainment screen.

I'm really surprised that the new Pilot didn't get the bigger screen....at least in the Touring and Elite trims.

I agree totally with your comment "IMO, I think a 14'' X 10'' screen is reasonable as long as it's well blended into the design of the dashboard instead of appearing like a last minute design decision to hot glue a screen to the dashboard". Unfortunately, IMO, few if any of the screens that are sitting out front of the dashboard meet your "well blended" criteria. To me they almost all look like they were mounted with picture hangers. Perhaps my issue is that even if you only utilize 25% of the applications provided, you still have to live with 100% of the screen size. And where are all the Federal regulators that think they have to protect us from ourselves...there is no way all those applications don't increase the risk of a distracted driver playing bumper cars for real. So on the one hand, the regulators are forcing very expensive safety add-ons to new vehicles and, on the other hand, are allowing manufacturers to turn our vehicle interiors into entertainment centers. Typical government.

To me you hit the nail on the head when you said, "turning vehicle interiors into entertainment centers". I'm old, I remember when it was illegal to have a "T.V." visible from the driver's position.🤣 I know I'm in the minority but I just don't get the infatuation with having a "big screen" on the dash of my vehicle. I'm more interested I'm being immersed in the driving experience, I'll leave all the electronic distractions for later when I'm at home safe and sound but that's just me.😁

I guess I'm out of touch, I seriously thought this was a joke. Having some mess this large on the dash would have me seriously considering purchasing somthing else.
