As the article eludes, I believe that's the TrailSport coming for 2024. I talked at length with the Sales Manager at my local Honda dealer about the Ridgeline. He was asking me about my Jeep Gladiator and if I'd ever consider a Ridgeline. I said "no". That's why I was looking at a Passport and not a Ridgeline. I've always wanted to like the Ridgeline. I looked at it as I was shopping for the Gladiator. But while Honda can make a quality SUV, it has completely missed the truck market. He said they can't sell them for that reason. There are so many other options that there's no unique reason to buy a Ridgeline.

Watch this (lengthy) video and tell me if you had a Ridgeline set-up like this (4.2" lift on 33" Toyos) would it be sufficient for your needs? ...

*I have no skin in this game. I just find the outright dismissal of a properly equipped Ridgeline (edited in for clarification) BY THE GENERAL POPULATION, to be short sighted or poorly informed at best.

I can't open the video, but I'm well aware of the capabilities of the Ridgeline and its competition. I always do my homework. I've been modding vehicles for 25 years. My wife and I are on our 9th Acura.

So to say "outright dismissal of a properly equipped Ridgeline to be short sighted or poorly informed at best" is not even close to the mark. I doubt you've ever owned a truck. I don't want to turn this into a "Ridgeline sucks" thread because I truly like the vehicle, I just see why nobody buys them.

I just joined the forum after purchasing our Passport as a third car and already have a diss. Great.

My intention was not to offend you. In general, people dismiss the Ridgeline right off hand.

This is a welcoming community. As a new forumite myself, I also welcome you.

You don't know me either nor the fact that in my 55 years of life, that I have been driving all types of vehicles in since I was 13 yo, I've owned several trucks amongst the 20+ vehicles that I've held title to.
