I am the proud new owner of a 2022 Honda Passport Trailsport with Bronze HPD package - getting trailer package from dealer - got it all for $43K due to it being demo model with 2K miles. Purchased the following accessories so far:
  • Honda Bug Deflector
  • Honda Passport Door Sill Protectors
  • Honda Clear Door Edge Protectors
  • Fumoto F106SX Drain Plug
  • No-Lo Designs Skid Plates
    • Front Engine
    • Mid and Catalytic Converter
    • Transfer Case
    • Gas Tank
I will install the skid plates later in the fall when it's cooler to work outside and after the dealer gets the tow package installed due to the AT cooler work. Loving the vehicle so far (I think it also compliments my Acura TSX) - I decided to buy it over an Acura MDX and Toyota Highlander because the wife and I intend to use it for camping and slight off-roading and I think we got fairly good deal on it. We're looking at getting a rugged teardrop trailer at some point for camping. Loving this community and looking forward to documenting my progress.

JonDz was one of the first youtube channels I found on what to add. NLD is pretty amazing with the skid plates that bolt in perfectly, I also found out that the Passport has similar gound clearance compared to the Toyota Tacoma - which was a really good fact for me...

Looks great & love the color!

I need to see how the "JonDz" - Catalytic Converter Skid Plate Kit mounts to the frame to see if it will help deter theft, or if the knuckleheads will take the skid plate in addition to the catalytic converter.

I really hope the aftermarket off road parts grows! That is the only thing that is missing on this platform.

I'm just happy I can get decent skid plates in aftermarket - this isn't going to be a rock crawler like a jeep wrangler. It's a weekend warrior that can tow and go off the beaten path a little bit. It will be great for road trips and hauling stuff around town. It's the practical choice considering all the other options.

You live in a beautiful area of the US!
Our daughter lives in Duluth, MN and we travel from St. Louis, MO through Iowa on our way to see her in Duluth.
The nicest, friendliest, cleanest gas station that I have ever been in my 63 years of life, has been a BP station in “Old’s” Iowa off Hwy 218, between Mt Pleasant and Iowa City.
Unbelievable to say the least and with low gas prices to boot, and they say “Thank You” when leaving and mean it.
Very impressed to say the least and hard to explain, but very heart warming at the same time.
My wife and I are looking to retire soon and are looking very hard towards the Pella, IA area with all its nice folk’s and low crime along with a nice lake to wet a worm occasionally 😊

You'll love Pella. It's a great community! Our oldest granddaughter is a Junior @ Central College there & her younger sister will be attending there this fall also. Great lake close to the community & a short drive to Des Moines, which is the nicest city I've ever been to. BTW, you're going to love retirement...

I can’t wait, but still getting things set up in place as to not make a mistake before retiring.

We have been looking between Pella, IA and LaCrosse, WI for a retirement home and have visited both cities at least twice now.

We really like the LaCrosse, WI area but not happy reading about the crime in the area.

The older I get, the less I really want to deal with it, so we are looking at the Pella area very hard and will now take a very close look at Des Moines too.

Thanks for the input!
