Anyone have info on upcoming changes? Not a lot out there. I did see that maybe in 22 they were redoing the PP as they did w the Ridgeline. Been looking at the PP for a while. Plan on buying as soon as I sell my Ridgeline which may be in a few months. My main wish lists are - 18" wheels, more space in back, more safety features on the Ex, improved electronics. What would you like to see? When are changes coming? TIA

Ridgelines are getting crazy money on trades now you hold all the cards.
Yes, with the next CRV being bigger and the Ridgeline selling more now the Alabama plant has only so much capacity and there has been money on the hood of the Passport for quite some time now. Hybrids are the next step now, not EV's. Would you want a slightly smaller CRV that gets close to 40 MPG's or a Passport that gets 25 on a good day. The writing is on the wall for a sole ICE engine. Since Acura didn't do anything Hybrid for the 22 MDX I don't see anything that could trickle down to the Pilot which is the basis for everything that comes out of Alabama. Maybe one more generation of the Passport but Honda will have different choices as time goes on essentially rendering the PP irrelevant. Times are definitely changing it's probably time to get a hybrid now for our next purchase.

One of the gurus on another forum mentioned that an all new Pilot is coming but the Passport will be refreshed. I would assume that the Pilot will borrow heavily from the MDX so when the Pilot comes out that will be a good foundation for what's next for the Passport.

Looks like the Ridgeline now. The Ridgeline has a heavy hood now, not sure if the Ridgeline folks want another vehicle sharing the same front end. Better do some sort of mod to protect that condenser, it's wide, really wide open now. I think this new front end will be well received. One thing though, headlight performance should be evaluated because the current PP has good headlight and fog light performance. Those tiny fogs in the RL are a disappointment and the headlight performance dropped on the higher trims. Might be better to wait it out until the MDX inspired Passport comes along.

To me what makes the PP look decent is the murdered out no chrome night shade type of look. As soon as chrome or lighter colored wheels are introduced or the "mask" is removed from the front end it will lose it's identity and the repressed minivan DNA will emerge. The Ridgeline was in dire need of a new front end but the Passport wasn't. Hopefully Honda will add some touches to keep it all murdered out. Once the nightshade fad is all over I don't think the PP can pull off a decent look.

To me, this looks like the Subie Ascet
Congrats to Jon, nice to see how his dedicated efforts have resonated with Honda, so much so that they reached out to him, well done.

Look what Honda did with the Ridgeline for 2017 RT,RTS,SPORT.RTL,RTL-T,RTL-E,Black Edition. The price spread was like 30k to 42k. Now they just have SPORT.RTL,RTL-E and Black Edition, spread like 38-43. I think lot of manufacturers do this skewing to the upside. Since the PP is more of an upscale offering, once they put the better radio in the Sport might as well move everyone to an EX-L and raise the price of admission. Chevy is doing something similar with Blazer as well. The rub is that this gives Honda more room to raise prices on the CRV too which they probably will.

The top trims of the Honda Ridgeline had awesome headlights but when the switched to the new masculine looking hood the headlights got downgraded as well. If you look at the IIHS data for the headlights it's a decrease. IIRC for the Passport, the low beams on the EX-L and Sport perform better.
