Anyone have info on upcoming changes? Not a lot out there. I did see that maybe in 22 they were redoing the PP as they did w the Ridgeline. Been looking at the PP for a while. Plan on buying as soon as I sell my Ridgeline which may be in a few months. My main wish lists are - 18" wheels, more space in back, more safety features on the Ex, improved electronics. What would you like to see? When are changes coming? TIA

Ridgelines are getting crazy money on trades now you hold all the cards.

I don't expect to see a major upgrade to the Passport until AFTER the next Pilot upgrade, which only makes sense, since they sell 3 or 4 times MORE Pilots!

I work at a Honda dealership and have access to Honda's internal information network, I have yet to see any official information on the 2022 Passport or any other 2022 model year Honda model other than the Odyssey van.

I saw the new Ridgelines, last Monday at the dealer, they look even better in person, the front end is awesome, it's the most truck-like Ridgeline ever!

I agree, the fact that an entirely new Civic will debut for the 2022 model year has been well known about for a while. To make a distinction, we did not receive official information confirming a lot of the sales industry related information until recently.

For the Passport though all I really want is improved Honda Sensing features and functions, mainly the ACC and pre-collision braking.

I saw the new Ridgelines, last Monday at the dealer, they look even better in person, the front end is awesome, it's the most truck-like Ridgeline ever!

What makes you want the Passport over a new Ridgeline?

Ridgelines are WHITE HOT in sales right now, I daresay it is perhaps the most in-demand vehicle on earth at this time. I have one Sport model on my lot right now and out of all the people who have expressed interest in it or a higher trimline Ridgeline, I may have only one solid prospect who will likely buy it because he simply cannot find one elsewhere and doesn't want to wait to get something else. We have three inbound at this time and all are pre-sold units. No more expected at my store for at least one or two more months.

I really miss having a SUV. The truck is awesome but for surfing it's not ideal. I am doing less and less construction and remodeling work so don't really need the truck bed too much and prefer a car where I can have a ton of stuff and it's all on the interior of the vehicle as opposed to in the back.

Other 'official' information is regarding electrification of America.
With the exception of pickup trucks, vehicles are becoming less continent specific and more world market.
Honda has already released info about upcoming SUV, at Auto Shanghai 2021 in Shanghai, China. though it appears to be more HR-V or CR-V size than Passport, the future of our Passport may be a repeat of it's 1990's predecessor.

GM & Honda had previously announced a partnership . . . wherein GM would build two crossover vehicles in Mexico using GM's Ultium battery platform, a Honda and an Acura model, and will be about the same size as the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq.

Enjoy the Passport adventure while you can as the future of vehicle production is not a secret. We are being forced into a 'duracell' economy

Yes, with the next CRV being bigger and the Ridgeline selling more now the Alabama plant has only so much capacity and there has been money on the hood of the Passport for quite some time now. Hybrids are the next step now, not EV's. Would you want a slightly smaller CRV that gets close to 40 MPG's or a Passport that gets 25 on a good day. The writing is on the wall for a sole ICE engine. Since Acura didn't do anything Hybrid for the 22 MDX I don't see anything that could trickle down to the Pilot which is the basis for everything that comes out of Alabama. Maybe one more generation of the Passport but Honda will have different choices as time goes on essentially rendering the PP irrelevant. Times are definitely changing it's probably time to get a hybrid now for our next purchase.

The average new car in 1969 was $3,400 while minimum wage was $1.45/hr.
50 years later, a new car was $37,800 while minimum wage was $9.45/hr.
Manufacturers keep piling on more technology and limiting the buyer's options. The only new cars available are not affordable, to the majority of people.

More space in back ??? Maybe have to go to a Pilot to get that. PPs have quite a bit of cargo space.
18" wheels should be a no extra cost option.

I’m just back from my Honda dealership and chit-chatted with the dealer. He mentioned that there is some rumour internally about some changes with the 2022/2023 Passport. I’m soooo looking forward to seeing a la Toyota TRD Pro Passport version together with v8 engine. Will for sure upgrade my PP to it day 1!

I also work at a honda dealership. Got word that the Passport re-design will be in for the 2023 MY. So it can go one of two different ways. Either Honda goes long and does a 6 year stretch with the Design or they cut it short. I would guess they are going for a 6 yr in order to cut costs like they are with the Ridgeline

What were the changes to the Honda Crosstour, during its 7 year existence? The Crosstour sold 319,000 over the seven years that it was available, which works out to 3,800/mo and that's right were the Passport is now.
