2022 Elite rear seat heaters

I couldn’t get rear seat heaters to work so I took vehicle to dealer, and they said the front heaters have be on in order for the back ones to operate. Can anyone confirm if this is correct? It seems odd and there’s no mention of this in owner’s manual.

They work on my 2021 Elite Without the fronts being on. Something is wrong.
