The dealership I bought the 2021 PP from charged an extra $989 for "Cash Price Accessories," and I remember the financial manager said it was for the mat and something else that I don't remember. I'm pretty sure I got screwed here, but I'm just wondering if the mat he was talking about comes stock across on all 2021 PP trims.

You have be more specific. The mat for the cargo area is a option as well a lot of other things back there. Ie. Cargo cover, cargo net, seat back protection and cargo area side protection. Oh and the paint protection for the top of the bumper.

Not sure what folding tray you’re talking about.

A good way to tell if a dealer is going to be somewhat straight up with is by NOT adding any accessories to the vehicle. If you see a handful of accessories added to the window sheet that’s their way of getting hundreds if not thousands more, for tinted glass, custom wheel, mudflaps etc.

When I purchase a new car I let them know up front that I don’t want any accessories unless I ask for them, when I purchased my PP the only accessory added was the 3M clear door edge tape at $675, I told them to remove it because it would be removed as soon as I got it home, so I wasn’t going to pay their ridiculous price for something that was going to end up in the trash

Is this part stock on all 2021 PP trims? It's the folding mat/cargo tray with the word Passport on it.

Mine didn't come with it, but I pulled the one out of my Honda Pilot when I traded it in, and trimmed it slightly to fit into my Passport

The tray probably costs $65 (dealer price) so the extra $924 was for "Installation"...

I'd march back down there with your receipt and demand satisfaction, and explain to them in the spirit of customer satisfaction and if they want to keep you from posting about being ripped off on Yelp, Car Gurus and everywhere else, they need to make things right with you, maybe you could get $900 in upcoming service or something..

Please report back if you do this...

That cost $83 for College Hill Honda, if the charged who almost $1000 for that you got screwed royally. You said that and others in you post, what else was a optional accessory?
I believe it was also the PPF, so mat + paint protection film, which probably cost 100 bucks max, was summed up to $989. It was our first time buying. The special price on the internet was $36,050. Long story short, we were basically deceived into believing it was $36,050 w/o tax. Dealers dragged out the process. When it came down to signing the papers, the financial manager distracted us with repetitive questions and kept rushing us to sign, sign, and sign. I guess hard lesson learned.

They have paint protection film for large areas of the Passport. The hood, door sills , door edge, door handles, top of bumper for rear cargo area. The materials for those aren’t that expensive but the installation can be a lot of labor. You need to look at your invoice and see exactly what was included for that money.
