Thanks to a LOT of information from the Passport Forums, I pulled the string and purchased new wheels and tires for my 2019 Passport Elite AWD.

I decided on Black Rhino Overland wheels -- 18x8, 5x120, +35 -- and Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 -- 265/60 r18.

I went with the Black Rhino because I saw a post on this forum where someone else chose those wheels and I liked the look. The determining factors for the Duelers were (1) many reviews complimenting their low noise level on the highway. . .where I do 95% of my driving and (2) many comments from other owners highlighting their agility in dirt and sand. . .not much mud or snow in the deserts of Southern California!

Looking good.
Did you get hub centric rings with those Black Rhino Overlands or they match the Passport's (64 mm) hub diameter?

Those look great...! I'm also in So. Cal. and also bought the same size wheels, also Black Rhino, albeit a different series (ARCHES)...

CONGRATS on never having to worry about curbs again...!

Ha! No kidding. In the last 12 months, I had three, count 'em THREE, sidewall blowouts of my front passenger OEM wheel/tires. Two of them involved turning into a parking lot and going over end slopes of less than 1.5 inches.

The first occurred because it was pitch black darkness in Grants, New Mexico and the second was here in Orange, CA because someone began backing out of a parking space as I was pulling in the driveway.

The third and only respectable blowout occurred in Death Valley National Park. I ended up driving about 12 miles on rough dirt/sand road with the spare donut tire to get back to pavement. As a consequence of that experience, I bought 5 of the wheel/tire combos and a dirtcomusa.com Trail Swing to have a real spare tire when away from civilization.

I have the Hub Rings with my Rhinos, in fact the installer # American Tire Depot installed one of them wrong and I had severe vibration at 35-40mph, so they replaced all of them and gave me the three extras (which I keep in my car)...

Do you recall where you got the hub ring? The hub diameter on the Passport is 64.1 and the bore on the Overland wheels is 76.1 and I haven't been able to locate that size online...yet.

The guys I bought the tires & wheels from @ American Tire Depot got them, I did not even have to tell them or do any measuring...

Hi stevenD,

Thanks for your comments on my 2019 Passport Elite AWD. . .New Wheels/Tires post.

Have you lifted your Passport at all? If so, where in SoCal did you get that done?

I'm still undecided on a lift. This lift

2019 Passport Touring Lift Kit, Wheels, Tires

looks great, but I'm not the type to install that myself.

Thanks again,

RS-TrailDude

No, not going to lift mine, the tires/wheels already reduce the gas mileage, I'm guess the lift will do the same, I camp, but not off grid, maybe some light dirt roads, nothing that I really need another 2 inches for...

Cheers!

Looks amazing! Love those black rhinos, do you notice any difference in the ride going from 20 to 18?
No difference so far. Of course, being an old man, I drive like an old man, so there's not a lot of driving craziness going on!

I do notice that when I walk towards my newly equipped Passport, my chest seems to stick out, waist seems to suck in, and there's a big smile on my face.
