My Passport suddenly started to not start. Symptoms were initially after auto stop the car would not respond to the start button (nothing no sound nothing). Happened twice in traffic but after repeated attempts it would start. Then on two occasions after parked it would not start and required it to be jumped. First visit to Honda resulted in them not finding a problem with the battery, After second jump start they finally found he battery to be defective and the battery was replaced.

Now the reason for the post: The Passport has 30,600 miles and is under 36 months since bought. The service rep told me the new battery was only warranteed until the Passport has 36,000 miles on it. REALLY, a new Honda battery has100 months warranty. What are your thoughts?

Your new Honda purchase included a Honda New Car Limited Warranty, including the 12-volt battery, for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Some parts, such as emissions equipment, tires, etc may have separate coverage under other warranties described in the warranty booklet.

Warranty Coverage
Honda will repair or replace any part that is defective in material or workmanship under normal use. All repairs/replacements made under this warranty are free of charge.
The replaced or repaired parts are covered only until this New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires.
