      There was a discussion on this topic a while ago. The conclusion then was that aftermarket gadgets were flaky. But last week, I took the plunge anyway. I got 2021 CarlinKit 2.0 Wireless CarPlay Adapter for Ridgeline 2017 to 2020 Years Factory CarPlay Cars, Convert Wired to Wireless CarPlay, Support iOS 14 . I hooked it up over the weekend and so far it has been working fine. All four days worth of data. The pairing process was simple (took about a min, I think). And now every time I get in the car, it connects. Google maps works fine. The steering wheel button to access Sri works fine. I have not noticed any additional lag. We even paired my wife's phone and it connected seamlessly. It has a USB-A connector so you don't lose wired either (though I haven't measured current to see if you've lost charging speed). Ridgeline 2017.

      I have had my Carlinkit 2.0 for my 2019 Passport and it works great for over a year. Still going strong. Just added another to my wife's 2019 Passport. working great. Make sure you know which one you order from carlinkitcarplay.com. I had ordered one and they sent a refurbished return which was a white one with the attached cable. I sent it back reordered the one that is the Carlinkit 2.0 Wireless CarPlay adapter for the Passport with factory wired CarPlay. It is the black case with the detached cable. I installed it and everything is working . I DID NOT update the software as some has done so and bricked the unit. It works so I left it as is. This is from a guy that is running Apple Beta software on every Apple product I own.

      I have been using my adapter and have been very satisfied how it works. Picks up my phone when I am in proximity of the car with no issues. I use Apple Music, Pandora, Waze, Google Maps and music stored on my phone. Siri will play anything I request from any of the sources by pressing the stalk button. It will also obtain Nav directions by doing the same. Phone is either in my pocket or in the door pocket with my wallet.
