I can confirm that neither a donut nor a full size spare will fit under the rear of the Passport and it doesn't matter if you do or do not have a hitch.
I'm probably going to end up marking and cutting the cargo cover, to let a full size rim & tire poke thru. I'll figure out how to cover it and make it pretty later. Maybe I'll buy a cow split Sadle Leather $99, from Tandy Leather or I might buy a hard exterior tire cover and use that instead. $99 Hard Plastic Tire Cover
Before I cut anything I'll make sure the sub woofer and the rear seat-back isn't in the way.

Or I can throw my full size spare behind the rear seat and put a suitcase on it.

The cut out is my next plan. Post up if you get yours done first.

correct about it fitting under the vehicle. I looked at that and there isn’t enough clearance.
